What Passport Waiting Time Canada is
Community processing data sits beside official information. Neither is treated as a personal guarantee.
Why community data is useful
Applicant-reported dates can include mailing and office steps that official service standards do not count. Seeing both measurements gives a fuller picture of the wait.
How submissions work
People will later share application type, method, service level, province or territory, and key dates. Submissions are reviewed before anything is published.
PWT is not the government
Passport Waiting Time is an independent website and is not affiliated with the Government of Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), or Service Canada.
Methodology direction
Later published averages will use reviewed Canadian submissions only. We will show sample size, last updated date, and the difference between community waits and official service standards. Canadian English is used throughout — province and territory, postal code, and Passport Program wording.
Passport Waiting Time Canada does not process applications and does not speak for IRCC or Service Canada.
